Nothing on Valentine’s day?
This year is the 2nd year we have been together for Valentine’s Day. Last year we went to a hotel and that was our gift to each other. This year we are going to Florida in May so we didn’t go all out for Vday so we could save money.
However this year we went to a chinese restaurant then went to see comedians at a comedy festival. Long story short, I made a handmade card for my bf, and bought him chocolates. When I handed it to him he said “I thought we weren’t going to do this”. My response was, “I didn’t say I didn’t want to buy anything”. He didn’t get me anything..not even a rose, or chocolates or a $3 card.
I was a bit hurt but he is also a great guy 364 days of the year, and surprises me like crazy for our anniversary, my bday, and Christmas. Most of the time he will do things for me without me having to ask. So I’m a bit hurt and surprised to say the least that he didn’t buy me something small for Valentine’s day.
What do you guys think about it?

Maybe he was trying to save every cent/penny to give you a good time there and you buying what you did caught him on the back foot so to speak Don’t take it to heart It doesn’t mean he doesn’t care Wait until he takes you to Florida and I feel sure he will more than make up for it
