The metropolis of Macau is world famous as the ‘Monte Carlo of the Orient’. Ever since the Portuguese made gambling legal in Macau in the 1850s casinos have flourished, drawing people from mainland China, Hong Kong and all over the world. Money that is generated from casinos is a principal source of income that fuels the district’s economy.
The typical Chinese method of gambling, ‘Fan Tan’, is popular among the locals, while more Western games such as blackjack, poker, baccarat, roulette and keno are also available. Macau even hosts competitions regularly, the first of which was the ‘Asia Pacific Poker Tour’ in 2007. The casino and tourism project in Macau is greatly supported by Las Vegas Sands of the USA and bears the name ‘Cotai Strip’.
The stakes are high, the games are numerous and the ambience evokes a Las Vegas style casino at the Venetian Macau Resort Hotel, a prime casino property in Macau. The gaming club is separated into four areas; the Red Dragon, Golden Fish, Phoenix and Imperial Room and the premium guests have a gambling room of their own, known as the Paiza Club. Gamblers are seen at all corners, engrossed as they engage in slot games, video poker, blackjack and table games. Guests have access to superior dining facilities, a lounge and other events throughout the day. Anyone would mistake it to be Las Vegas, because nothing seems amiss at the casino in this luxury hotel in Macau.
The interiors are plush, the people are friendly and this Macau China hotel is glamorous. There is unlimited entertainment for the gambler and leisure seeker in you as the hotel fuses Vegas style wagers and Italian style living. The 32 storey tower within the hotel’s premises reminds one of Rapunzel and the singing gondoliers, gondolas and canals mix a touch of Venice to the Asian city.

I have a plush bear looking animal with green cape that chirps when you cover eyes. What is it? Help!!?
I thought it was an ewok, but can’t find any like this one. He is tan with a green cape sewed on and he has glass eyes and nose. They don’t light up when he chirps. I am thinking this was something that was around when my kids were little, but I am at a loss as to what character, brand, ANYTHING about him. He has no tags, so I can’t even start with a reference. Anyone have any ideas????
Maybe its Gizmo or one of the other characters from the movie Gremlins, they make a squeeky chirpy noise in the movie.
