The brand Zhu Zhu, although it has been around for quite some time now, was not that well known until the release of the massively successful Zhu Zhu Pets, also known in the United Kingdom as Go Go Hamsters. These so called pets are actually robotic hamsters. Although it may seem like a strange idea for a product, the Go Go Hamster was one of the best selling Christmas toys in the year of it’s release.
There are many different characters in the Zhu Zhu Pets range. This is possibly one of the contributing factors to the success of the toy itself, as children are naturally drawn to things that they can collect, and there are many different characters to actually collect in the product range. As well as this, it may be a contributing factor that the Pets are somewhat interactive, so it gives children something to actually play with. Think Furby, but a newer, upgraded, toy in Hamster form. If you are looking for something to keep the kids busy then Zhu Zhu Pets could be a great investment.
Very recently, Zhu Zhu Toys released a new version of their pet range. This range is called the Kung Zhu. The idea behind this product was a little different, however. This particular range is more aimed at boys as opposed to girls. The Kung Zhu line even come with a story around the Kung Zhu taking over the Zhu Zhu Hamster city. As you can see, this is definitely a strong selling point.
With the great success of the Zhu Zhu range so far, one can only wonder what amazing levels they will go to next. They haven’t put a foot wrong so far, and have successfully produced a range of toys that have been a massive hit with the kid’s. If you are looking for a toy that is likely to make your child or children very happy, then the Zhu Zhu range is certainly worth a look, who knows what magical, interactive toy they will come up with next? Let’s hope that they can top the success of the Go Go Hamster, although that would be a mean feat for any toy maker!

My little sister has Zhu Zhu pets, and I guess they are cute, but you can only put them in their play area. Anywhere elese and hair or other junk on the floor jams their wheels. They’re actually kinda boring to me, but my seven year old sister seems to like just collecting them, not so much as playing with them. And it looks like the Kung Zhu pets work the same way a regular Zhu Zhu pet would, so I think all they would do is roll around their arena until they eventually knock into eachother. And the chances are even slimmer for them to actually knock eachother over. Like I said, my sister enjoys how cute they are and trying to collect the best ones, but she doesn’t play with them as much.
