Barbie and Bratz dolls are fashion dolls. Barbie dolls came to market in 1959, where as Bratz came to market in 2001 since that time Barbie faced first time serious competition in the market. Due this reason Barbie has more fans than Bratz, although in 2004 sales market figures showed Bratz had given Barbie to tough time. Because Bratz dolls have some costumes, different kinds of styles and audio tunes features also added. Barbie is a fashion doll manufactured by the American toy company Mattel in 1959. Barbie has been important part of the toy fashion doll market more than fifty years. Mattel acquired the rights to the Bild Lilli doll in 1964. The first Barbie doll wore a black and white zebra striped swimsuit and with topknot ponytail and was available as blonde or brunette.
The doll was marketed as “Teen-age Fashion Model” with her clothes and made by Mattel designer Charlotte Johnson. The first Barbie dolls were manufactured in Japan, Barbie clothes were hand stitched by Japanese home workers. Around 350,000 dolls were sold during first time production. Barbie has become a cultural icon and has been given honours that are rare in toy world. In 2009, Barbie has celebrated her 50th birthday.
Bratz dolls are fashion dolls and manufactured by MEGA Entertainment. There are four types of Bratz dolls and 10″ size Cole, Jade, Sasha and Yasmin. Bratz dolls are looks like teenagers with large and skinny bodies and almond shaped eyes with eye shadow, glossy lips. In June 2001, the first four Bratz dolls, Jade, Cloe, Sasha, and Yasmin, were released to market, each were in urban-styled fashions.

I was at Toys R’ Us the other day because I’m awesome and I saw this “Americas Next Top Model” Barbie and she was wearing fishnets, a mini-skirt, and one of those shirts where your bra pops out of the top. I’m surprised she didn’t have a wad of cash and some penicillin as accessories. So I’m wondering if maybe they’re trying to get little girls to dress like hookers because they’re creepers or what? I don’t get how that stuff can even be sold, would you buy that crap for your kids?
